Guido Göbbels is a Media Designer and Creative Producer with a career spanning back to 2005, culminating in his first degree in 2008. In the same year, he enrolled at the Köln International School of Design (KISD), where he explored a broad range of design disciplines. In 2010, he spent a semester abroad at UFPR in Curitiba, Brazil, further expanding his cultural and professional perspective.
After graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in 2013, Guido co-founded his own game studio in 2014 together with fellow university colleagues. There, he helped secure funding and successfully developed the prototype “Magnet-O-Bro,” laying the foundation for his future career in game development.
In 2015, Guido joined Flying Sheep Studios, where he combined his strengths in design, production, and education. Alongside his role in the studio, he also worked as a Game Design teacher, supporting and mentoring the next generation of developers.
By 2016, Guido had taken on increasing leadership responsibilities at Flying Sheep Studios, leading teams, developing original game concepts, and managing more than 100 customer games for brands including DreamWorks, Mattel, and Lego.
Following the merger of Flying Sheep Studios with the iCandy Group in 2022, Guido became Design Director, bridging the areas of Design, Art, and Project Management. During the development of the MMO project Star Life, he coordinated international art production between Germany and Malaysia in collaboration with Lemon Sky Studios.
In 2025, Guido joined Playt.net as Product Lead, taking responsibility for Clash Paradise.io, a competitive skill-based gaming platform. In this role, he led feature development, balanced the game economy and monetization systems, introduced new workflows with project management, and oversaw QA and support structures.
Most recently, Guido worked at Wegesrand as Creative Producer, Game Designer, and Creative Director. There, he led interdisciplinary teams, developed game concepts and narratives, introduced new production workflows across Jira, Figma, and Confluence, and improved both client communication and internal processes.
