Guido Göbbels

Guido Göbbels is a Media Designer with a career spanning back to 2005, resulting in his first degree in 2008. Furthering his education, he enrolled at the Köln International School of Design (KISD) in 2008, where he immersed himself in a diverse range of design disciplines. This journey led him to spend a semester abroad in 2010 at UFPR in Curitiba, Brazil, broadening his cultural and professional horizons.

In 2013, Guido graduated with a Bachelor’s degree, marking the completion of his formal education. Eager to translate his passion for games into own creations, he co-founded a game studio in 2014 with fellow university colleagues. Together, they diligently worked to bring their vision to life, resulting in the successful development of the game prototype ‘magnet-o-bro.’

Continuing in the gaming industry, Guido joined Flying Sheep Studios in 2015, where he seamlessly merged his talents as both a designer and educator. Alongside his primary role, he served as a Teacher for Game Design, sharing his expertise and nurturing the next generation of talent.

By 2016, Guido’s dedication and proficiency earned him increased responsibilities within Flying Sheep Studios, where he spearheaded teams, conceptualized and developed game prototypes with original intellectual properties (IPs), and managed over 100 customer games involving renowned IPs from companies such as Dreamworks, Mattel, and Lego.

The pivotal merger of Flying Sheep Studios with the iCandy Group in 2022 saw Guido assuming the pivotal role of Design Director, where he bridged the realms of Design, Art, and Project Management. Notably, during the Project Star Life initiative, he collaborated closely with an international team, overseeing art production both in Germany and Malaysia in partnership with Lemon Sky Studios.
